Simplify your Giving

A large number of us receive our paychecks via direct deposit and pay the majority of our bills online. In fact, we’ve been doing it for a long time. It eliminates the need for checks, envelopes, postage and time. Even though I’ve been getting my paycheck via direct deposit for quite some time, I was among the last to begin paying bills online. I’ve always been a person who likes to write my own checks, pay my own bills, etc., because I wanted to make sure they got paid. Now, I pay 99 percent of my bills online and can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner.

Paying bills online is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. So is giving online! Every financial institution provides a platform for online giving. It’s simple to set up, and any time of the year is a perfect time to do it. Go online to your financial institution, to the secure page, and select the tab for paying bills. It will allow you to select merchant accounts. All you have to do is set up a merchant account for your church.

Next, select the amount. Hopefully you’ve already been faithfully tithing. If not, this is a terrific time to start. Calculate 10 percent of your weekly, biweekly or monthly paycheck. Then, add an offering to it. For example, if your weekly paycheck is $500, a tithe would be $50. Anything above that is an offering. You might want to give another $5 as an offering. So you would enter $55 in the line for the amount. Then, you can select the number of times you want to give. I always select 52 weeks so I am covered for the entire year. (Note: You can change the amount or number of times you want to give at any time through your financial institution.)

Once you’ve entered the information, you will be shown everything you’ve entered to make sure it’s correct before you finalize the transaction. Once you approve it, you will be set for online giving for the entire year. This is the ONLY AREA of our Christian life we can make automatic. Once you do, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.

Option 1: Give through NEB online

To make giving easier, we have upgraded NEBs' online giving to PushPay. PushPay is used by many of the churches in America and is very secure. It’s easier to use (on mobile devices, too), and you will now be able to view your giving history all in one place using the “view my contributions" button. You will need to make a new account with PushPay. This safe and flexible option is an easy way to contribute to NEB and is available for one-time gifts or for scheduled, recurring contributions. Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule ongoing donations or view your giving history, you can do it all online. It’s quick, easy and secure.

Option 2: $Cashapp & Giveafly

Now, giving is as easy as downloading the app Cashapp on your phone and sending to the following  cashapp:

Option 3: Give through your financial institution online

You can give your tithe and any additional gifts through your personal financial institution’s online bill payment service.

It’s simple. All you have to do is indicate “New El Bethel Baptist Church” as your payee, specify your name as the account, and use the following information for the payee address:

New El Bethel Baptist Church
2023 Mouser Street
Dallas, TX 75203
(214) 946-3584

Your financial institution will send New El Bethel Baptist Church the payment, and we will record it toward your giving record just as if you had written the check yourself.

Option 4: Give in person

You can give every Sunday through one of the kiosks in the lobbies or by using the giving boxes in the back of the auditorium.
